Starkey Banton est un fervent rasta qui a choisi de vivre en Afrique. Installé depuis 1998 à Serekunda, en Gambie, il y créé son propre sound system, le Stereo Love. Avant tout dj’s, Starkey Banton est aussi chanteur. Il fait partie de ceux qui tentent de jeter un pont entre roots et dancehall. Personnage très humble, on le connaît notamment pour ses collaborations avec Raggasonic et Mad Professor.
